Pickled Tink.

So, I just looked at my calendar today, and realized that any day now, I should be receiving my Pickles!  What’s a pickle you ask, and why am I so excited for them?  It’s my new custom handbags that were made for me, courtesy of Viv Pickle in Philadelphia, PA.  The greatest part about these handbags, is that you call the shots and make it 100% your style.  By selecting the materials, size, shape, and everything else down to the interior lining and types of closures for your handbag, you’ll always get something that is absolutely unique.  I, myself, have several of these bags, and have gotten countless complements on every one of them.  Whether you give them as gifts (diaper bags for new moms, wristlets and small bags for your bridesmaids, or a fun messenger for someone on the go) or want one for yourself, a Pickle is a no fail way to make someone smile.

Nice Rack.

Finding space in that studio apartment can be tricky sometimes.  Not to worry, things just got a little easier with this handy dandy indoor bike rack.  Perfect for the city dweller with limited space, who relies on his or her “wheels” for transportaion.  No more leaving your poor Schwinn outside to rust away on the unforgiving city streets, take it inside to keep it safe and make it a work of art.  Check out www.theartofstorage.com for their different options!

So, I’m sitting here perusing the newest Crate & Barrel Gift Guide catalog while watching the clock tick-tock by and waiting for the hand to hit 5:00, so that my weekend can begin. Low and behold, I come across something so radical, so fun, so hip, and so modern.  C & B, whereever did you source this from?  This is about  as cool and as modern as I’ve ever seen you get!  CB2 must be really rubbing off on you!

Love, love, love this modern take on an old school goldfish bowl.  Stackable bowls that can create a cityscape right in your own Living Room, and since they build up instead of out, it’s takes up less of your valuable space.  Great for an apartment and lower maintenance than a dog or cat, this tank is pretty awesome.  whos said you couldn’t have a pet in your tiny digs?

It’s about time you give your poor betta fish a little space to move, in their very own 10 x 10 room…and stop being so resentful about their fresh new pad, while you’re still stuck in your studio.

Not What They Seem.

A simple tealight candle sculpture transposes into a captivating sight!  I gotta get me one of these (and I’m not even Jewish!)…I just want it for the shear structural integrity and thoughtfulness of this unique piece.  Who knew that something as simple as a tea light could be so detailed and extraordinary.  Kudos to industrial designer Diana Sierra and product developer Joost Elffers for spending the painstaking past 5 years to concept and create the protypes for this one-of-a-kind design!  Even though it’s not quite up and running yet, you’ll be able to get this little beauty at www.shadowofdavid.com in the very near future.

So much fun!  Love the whimsy and youthful feel of this neat little bookend.  Made of resin, these balloons will never pop or deflate.  Great for use in a kids room or play room, or suitable for those who are just young at heart.
